Summary
NSSS MNE is a read-only dashboard for viewing public information about social-protection programmes under Bangladesh's National Social Security Strategy (NSSS).
Information the app does not collect
To be explicit, the app does not collect or process any of the following:
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or postal addresses
- User accounts, passwords, or authentication credentials
- Location data, whether precise or approximate
- Contacts, calendar entries, photos, media, or files
- Device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or usage analytics
- Crash logs or diagnostic reports
- Financial or payment information
- Health or biometric information
The app contains no advertising, no analytics services, and no third-party tracking software development kits.
Information the app stores on your device
To let you browse programme information while offline, the app saves a copy of the public data it downloads into local storage on your device. This cached data consists only of public reference information, such as:
- Social-protection programme names, descriptions, and details
- Budget and beneficiary figures published by the Government of Bangladesh
- Ministry, thematic-cluster, life-cycle, and fiscal-year reference lists
- Frequently asked questions
This cached information stays on your device. It is never transmitted off the device, and it is never shared with any third party. It contains nothing personal to you.
The app also remembers your display preferences, such as the fiscal year and the filters you have selected. These preferences are stored only on your device.
You can erase all locally stored data at any time by clearing the app's storage in your device settings, or by uninstalling the app.
Permissions the app requests
The app requests only two Android permissions, both required for its core function:
-
INTERNET— to download public programme data over encrypted HTTPS from Government of Bangladesh servers. The app sends no personal information in these requests; it only requests public datasets. -
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE— to detect whether your device is online, so cached data can be shown when it is not. This check reveals only whether a connection is available. It does not identify you, and the result is not recorded or transmitted.
The app does not request access to storage, location, the camera, the microphone, or contacts.
Children's privacy
The app is a general-audience informational tool. Because it collects no personal data from anyone, it collects no personal data from children.
Links to external websites
The app may open links to external government websites in your browser. Once you leave the app, the privacy practices of the website you visit apply. The app is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of external sites.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be published at this same address with an updated “Last updated” date. Material changes will accompany an app update.
